Description

The 601 Series Wafer Check Valve is a single-disc, non-return valve engineered for thermoplastic piping systems where installation space is limited and reliable backflow prevention is essential. Built from PVC Type I with EPDM O-ring seals and a 316 stainless steel spring, this valve installs between standard flanges without spacers and performs in both horizontal and vertical piping orientations.

The 601 Series covers 2-1/2" through 12", split across two product lines: the 601N for sizes 2-1/2" through 8", and the 601NP for sizes 10" and 12". Both share the same core materials and wafer-style body conforming to ASME/ANSI B16.1 Class 150 face-to-face dimensions. Materials are NSF-61 certified for potable water applications.

Features:

  • Compact wafer body fits tight installations without a spacer between PVC Schedule 80 flanges
  • Single-disc design rated for horizontal and vertical piping
  • 316 stainless steel spring dampens disc movement to prevent water hammer and extend service life - spring is removable if desired
  • Full vacuum rating of 29.9 Hg (inches mercury)
  • Serviceable design with repair parts and replacement O-rings available
  • NSF-61 certified materials suitable for potable water use
  • Recommended for industrial process piping, commercial pools and water parks, aquaculture, aquarium and zoo support systems, marine and saltwater applications, and water and wastewater treatment
