Description

GF Harvel Clear™ is rigid Schedule 40 PVC made from a transparent virgin PVC compound, so you can see flow, sediment, and buildup inside the line without opening the system. It matches the dimensions and pressure ratings of standard white Schedule 40 PVC and joins to conventional PVC pipe, fittings, and valves with solvent cement, so it drops into existing systems as sight sections or complete runs.

The see-through wall suits work where the process has to stay visible: laboratories, food and beverage processing, pharmaceutical and medical facilities, chemical and electroplating lines, photofinishing, hatcheries, and clean rooms. Harvel Clear is also used as secondary containment around high-purity lines, where the clear jacket lets you identify the primary tubing and catch leaks early.

Common uses are sight gauges, flow-monitoring sections, and any run where you inspect the contents by eye.

To start off, I called them when I found them online. I wanted to ask questions about delivery versus pick up, and clarify a few things that weren’t clear on the website. I was transferred to a gentleman, I won’t give his name, but he had some of the poorest customer service skills I’ve experienced in a while. One thing in particular, I explained that I’m a business looking for a product, and he replied that they only sell wholesale, implying that I couldn’t purchase a product. I ask him to clarify because I am a business, not an individual, and then he said, “Well, you can buy it right off the website.” None of that made sense. Upon my further inquiry, he asked me if I needed any other help and then ended the conversation.
The product I purchased was clear pipes, like PVC pipes, however, the pipes came in with a heavy blue tint. To avoid further frustration, I didn’t bother calling the company and inquiring, but just decided to use the product.
If I can avoid it in the future, I’ll shop somewhere else.
