What's New in the YSH Series
The YSH Series starts with a larger barrel and a re-engineered barrel angle, giving it better flow performance and higher straining capacity than earlier Y-strainer designs in the same size range. The one-piece PVC or CPVC screen element is molded without welds or seams, removing a common failure point in strainer screens.
40%+ Cv Improvement
The redesigned, patent-pending barrel angle cuts pressure drop and delivers more than 40% higher flow capacity (Cv) than standard strainers, so the system downstream runs more efficiently with less resistance.
Built to Last
The body is one-piece injection molded, no fabrication, no welds, so there are no seams to fail. It's available in PVC, Clear PVC, or CPVC with EPDM or FPM seals, each rated to 150 psi (10 bar) non-shock at 70°F (21°C).
Smarter Serviceability
Color-coded barrel nuts (orange for PVC and Clear PVC, black for CPVC) identify the body material at a glance, and the one-piece thermoplastic screen snaps in and out of the retainer for fast cleanout without tools.

Integral end connections, true union flanged ends, alternate screen materials (316 stainless steel, Monel, Hastelloy C, or titanium in 20 to 100 mesh), other screen perforation sizes (1/16", 1/8", or 3/16"), and drilled and tapped ports for pressure gauges or blow-out drains are all available on request.
